The abolition of the Department of Tourism, Fair Trading and Wine Industry Development on 13 September 2007, as part of a number of significant changes to Government Departments undertaken since the ascension of Anna Bligh as Premier, has seen the functions of its various sectors transferred to other Departments.
Once such change relevant to the Body Corporate Industry is the transfer of the Office of the Commissioner for Body Corporate and Community Management to the Department of Justice and Attorney General as well as that of the Commercial Consumer Tribunal, the body now responsible for reviewing Commissioners Office Adjudications.
This logical transition extends the Justice Departments portfolio but does not reflect a change to either the physical location or contact details for the Commissioners Office.
